Research interests
I am a first-year PhD student on the PeatSense project, researching how knowledge about lowland Amazonian peatlands is produced, circulated, and taken up in conservation policy and practice in Peru and Colombia. My work centres on bringing Indigenous Peoples’ and local communities’ perspectives, knowledge, and priorities into peatland conservation through social and participatory research methods. I am particularly interested in how different knowledge systems, Indigenous, local, and scientific, interact across scales, and how evidence, space, and territory are governed over time in conservation efforts.
